New York: Demonstrators accuse Greyhound and Amtrak of ambushing immigrants for deportation

Dozens of demonstrators gathered at the entrance to the New York Penn Station bus terminal in Manhattan Wednesday to protest against raids that immigration agents are conducting on public buses and interstate trains.

The demonstrators accused the government of allowing Amtrak trains and Greyhound buses to operate without advance warning to passengers that raids may occur.

"We are here because these two companies are working with immigration agents to carry out raids on their buses and trains," said Mary Muentes of Families for Freedom, an advocacy organization founded in 2002.
